70 min full Auto Thrill Show, over 15 high energy stunt acts.
Johnny Wisner had dreamed of becoming a race-car driver. He spent a number of teenage evenings sneaking into the old state fairgrounds at the corner of Broadway and Stockton Boulevard, where he and his friends would tear up the tracks and then hide from the police. His father—a structural engineer who designed bridges and airplane hangars for the state—didn’t necessarily approve, but his mom’s side of the family carried the gearhead gene.g about your business here. While working for a traveling carnival Johnny saw a poster for King Kovaz Auto Daredevils, a thrill show in which a team of drivers would show off precision driving, pull off spectacular stunts and—in most cases—cheat death. He got a job selling tickets in front of a ride for $7 a day, and on the last day of the fair, when the thrill show arrived, he asked the owner for a job. Kovaz told him to come back when he turned 21, and a year later, convinced he’d find his true calling in the thrill of the stunts and the cheers of the crowd, Johnny did just that.
After growing up watching shows such as “Dukes of Hazzard”, “Knight Rider”, “A-Team” and “The Fall Guy” Chris looked up to the men & women performing the action and stunts. Years later I met local stuntmen in N.Y. and C.T. who invited me to training sessions performing high falls, stunt fighting, fire burns, stunt driving and more. In 1996 he was asked to join “The Hollywood Stunt Show”, a touring thrill show that mostly included stunt driving and car crashes.
Throughout the 9 years on tour Chris got his CDL class A to help drive the equipment over the road, was appointed Track Boss and primary pyrotechnician as well as performed stunt driving, car rolls, and the 40‘ car jump into a parked car about 5 times a week. After traveling for 9 seasons and with the skills and knowledge of the live automobile stunt show behind me and ready for a change, Chris moved to Orlando, FL in 2004 to help open and drive full time for “Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show” at Disney World. During that time Brian Carson, who has performed hundreds of auto stunts, contacted him to team up for several shows. Chris performed at Charlotte Motor Speedway jumping a car towing a house trailer for a World Record of 170’ in front of over 90,000 spectators.
Over the years Chris toured with a monster truck show based in Australia performing up to 5 car crashes a show in addition to racing monster trucks. In 2017 he broke his own record for a limousine jump at Lebanon Valley Speedway in NY jumping 172’ and crashing into a row of cars.
From 2006-2015, Chris teamed up with the late Tim Chitwood performing car crashes, two wheel driving, high speed reverse spins and more.
In 2017, he trained in London for the “Fast and Furious Live” show that toured for 6 months throughout Europe. It was an arena show recreating the best stunt driving throughout the franchise.
Chris has performed stunts in numerous commercials, TV shows and movies including “Footloose”, “Self/less”, “Breaking Bad” and “Transformers 4”. His company “Mostunts Entertainment” specialize in auto crashes, jumps and stunt driving for film and live shows.
